Introductions
Hello. My name is Donna. I am an ESL instructor at the University of Texas at Arlington (UTA). I LOVE to share with my students. At this time, we're all learning how to create our personal BLOGS and will begin by writing brief self introductions.
My Story
I grew up on a farm in California. My family had a big garden to grow spinach, corn, zuchinni, tomatoes and other crops. We also had lots of animals: rabbits, horses, cows, goats, sheep, dogs, cats, and guinea pigs.
My family includes a mother, father, three brothers and four sisters.
In 1977, my family moved to Saudi Arabia. We lived in Dhahran where my dad worked for ARAMCO. I attended the 9th grade in Dhahran and then went to a boarding school just outside London, England.
After high school, I attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. I have a Bachelor's Degree in International Relations and a Master's Degree in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESL). I have been teaching ESL for over 15 years and have travelled all around the world.
At this time, I am pleased to be an instructor at UTA. Working with international students is awesome!
